Spectators: 7679 (Terracing: 5760, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 153) Sport Club Academy's Jeferson Ceresso started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Joélson dos Santos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Luiz Gustavo Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdir Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabrício Bertassi hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeferson Ceresso in the 18th minute of play forced EC Rodrigus MZ's goalkeeper Narciso Eusko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Sport Club Academy were awarded a corner. Valdo Porto went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Sport Club Academy's Christian de Souza to fire away a dangerous shot which Narciso Eusko despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Christian de Souza's late challenge caught a EC Rodrigus MZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian de Souza helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes Sport Club Academy got a freekick which was hit by Christian de Souza. Joélson dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Damião having to interfere. The corner led EC Rodrigus MZ's Shen Jian Xu to fire away a dangerous shot which José Damião despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, EC Rodrigus MZ's Luiz Gustavo Trevisan got a free kick in the 34th minute. José Damião came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by EC Rodrigus MZ's Valdir Batista. But to his dismay, Valdir Batista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 41st minute EC Rodrigus MZ were awarded a corner. Oséias de Sena went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Joélson dos Santos got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-0. 41 minutes into the match. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by EC Rodrigus MZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Valdo Porto was slow to take the kick. During this time Sport Club Academy's players had a chance to rest. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joélson dos Santos was the one to do the kick off. Narciso Eusko made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Jeferson Ceresso sent off a good shot on target. Valdir Batista took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Damião. José Damião dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Narciso Eusko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilmar Abraão in the 68th minute. Anselmo de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Valdir Batista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Damião was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. José Damião showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joélson dos Santos in the 77th minute of the match. Valdo Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Joélson dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Damião having to interfere. After some careless play in the Sport Club Academy defense, Joélson dos Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Damião. The Sport Club Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Damião should have stopped the shot. EC Rodrigus MZ's Narciso Eusko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save EC Rodrigus MZ from getting a goal against them. Luiz Gustavo Trevisan kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Joélson dos Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Damião. Sport Club Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joélson dos Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The EC Rodrigus MZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sport Club Academy had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
