Palmeiras Votorantim booed when Guiomar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lenílson Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toninho Botelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Ritvaldis Stīpa made a huge save. A collision led to Guiomar getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Henrique Romero hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Victor Toledo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 26 minutes, Millrick Gallarde mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guiomar and the S.E. Palmeiras Votorantim players grew even worse after the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Toledo to make the kick off. Joel Donatello was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Henrique Romero showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 77 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Raimundo Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guiomar's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Donatello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Millrick Gallarde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
