Aloísio Vale's late challenge caught a Japira SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aloísio Vale helped the player get up and apologised. Aloísio Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. When Japira SS's Hudson Valle in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Corinthians's goalie prevented a goal. 10 minutes into the match, Japira SS's goalkeeper Tostão Figueiredo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dito Santos. Hudson Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute, Luiz Fábio Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Marques hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, SC Corinthians's Juarês Martins dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Tostão Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeu Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tostão Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juarês Martins in the 27th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Corinthians's zone, Hudson Valle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genílson Mendonça came out of the goal and Hudson Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute, Juarês Martins reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tostão Figueiredo. The goal made the score 2-0. 37 minutes into the match, Juarês Martins had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tostão Figueiredo. Japira SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juarês Martins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Dito Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Tostão Figueiredo made a huge save. In the 43rd minute, Juarês Martins reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tostão Figueiredo. The goal made the score 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Aloísio Vale kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tostão Figueiredo. That made the score 5-0 in the 46 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hudson Valle made the kick off in the second half. Genílson Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, SC Corinthians's Filipe Loureiro got a free kick in the 57th minute. If Dito Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juarês Martins hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Amadeu Velloso was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 66th minute. Japira SS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 69 minutes into the match, Mané Novaes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tostão Figueiredo. Japira SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mané Novaes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Japira SS's Tostão Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dito Santos in the 73rd minute of play. Tostão Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dito Santos in the 75th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hudson Valle got free with Genílson Mendonça in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tostão Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 84 minutes into the game, Dito Santos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Tostão Figueiredo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. SC Corinthians's Dito Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 92 played minutes Japira SS got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fábio Aparecido. In the 94th minute of the match Filipe Loureiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tostão Figueiredo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dito Santos in the 97th minute of play forced Japira SS's goalkeeper Tostão Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SC Corinthians had played much better football throughout.
