In the 25th minute Júlio Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 26 minutes OFF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Matías Paraibano who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Tapiramuta FC's Matías Paraibano to fire away a dangerous shot which Nilson de Queiroz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. João Augusto Abraão took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nilson de Queiroz. Nilson de Queiroz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 36th minute, João Augusto Abraão made a precise shot to the right of Nilson de Queiroz. OFF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After some careless play in the Tapiramuta FC defense, Agnaldo Toledo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomé Galvão. The Tapiramuta FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomé Galvão should have stopped the shot. Júlio Domingues kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Augusto Abraão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nilson de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Augusto Abraão, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. OFF's Nilson de Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Augusto Abraão in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, OFF's Serafim Gaspar got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 68th minute, João Augusto Abraão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomé Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raí Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the game, Agnaldo Toledo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Tomé Galvão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84th minute, Raí Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Oséas Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Serafim Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the OFF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafim Gaspar couldn't finish the play.
