Osmar Braga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlando Lucas's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After a rather tough play, União Barbarense's Diego Tinoco got a free kick in the 19th minute. A collision led to PIRIPERI FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Dé Toledo hit a great ball. Horacio Diegotxe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in PIRIPERI FC's zone, Charles do Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horacio Diegotxe came out of the goal and Charles do Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the PIRIPERI FC defense, Diego Tinoco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horacio Diegotxe. The PIRIPERI FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horacio Diegotxe should have stopped the shot. In the 39th minute, Carlos Carioca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute, Enio Couto made a precise shot to the right of Osmar Braga. União Barbarense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Orlando Salles made the kick off in the second half. Horacio Diegotxe came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by União Barbarense's Eriberto Corrêa. But to his dismay, Eriberto Corrêa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 59th minute, Enio Couto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adelino Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, PIRIPERI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Salles came free, but Horacio Diegotxe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute Eriberto Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Diegotxe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Enio Couto made a precise shot to the right of Osmar Braga. União Barbarense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Horacio Diegotxe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Horacio Diegotxe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriberto Corrêa in the 92nd minute of the match.
