Corinthians FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 23 played minutes JupiterGT got a freekick which was hit by Tião Santos. Osvaldinho Abreu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Adriano Lago when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dedê Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Osvaldinho Abreu could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Adriano Lago however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moreno Cabeleira in the 35th minute of play forced JupiterGT's goalkeeper Adriano Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Moreno Cabeleira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laércio Mazza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laércio Mazza got free with Daniel Poling in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Laércio Mazza might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Poling. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laércio Mazza ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Poling made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laércio Mazza in the 88th minute.
