Glauco Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mário Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute, Frédson Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cléberson Madureira charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cléberson Madureira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes Guarama FC got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson Madureira. Real Poá FC's Rony Soeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Real Poá FC from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fiori Baiano to make the kick off. The supporters of Guarama FC booed when Real Poá FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hortêncio Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rony Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Tande in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd match minute, Real Poá FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademir Veiga to maneuver through the defense. The referee showed Léo Aguiar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had been going on for 71 minutes, Real Poá FC's Hortêncio Ortiz got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Serginho Cearense. Rony Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Tande in the 74th minute of the match. Guarama FC's Armando Meireles suffered a sore knee after 74 minutes and couldn't finish the game. A collision led to Real Poá FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Dráuzio Pena hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Glauco Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guarama FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Glauco Cordeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rony Soeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 80 minutes into the match, Guarama FC's Glauco Cordeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rony Soeiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Clemente Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fiori Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Serginho Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 97 minutes into the game, Guarama FC's Glauco Cordeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rony Soeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Guarama FC fully deserved thier win.
