The referee ignored S.E.R Mergulhão - RS's protests and gave Zekai Tefhim a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, S.E.R Mergulhão - RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zekai Tefhim to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Manfred Låsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Hamdullah Olgunsoy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.E.R Mergulhão - RS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 29 minutes into the match, S.E.R Mergulhão - RS's Tiaguinho Soeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilvan Rosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Haroldo Brasil took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gilvan Rosa. ESQUADRILHA DA FUMAÇA F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giuseppe Viana to make the kick off. The shot was stopped by Gilvan Rosa but with some difficulty. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Tiaguinho Soeiro put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Gilvan Rosa. In the 63rd minute, Hamdullah Olgunsoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the ESQUADRILHA DA FUMAÇA F.C defense, Hamdullah Olgunsoy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilvan Rosa. The ESQUADRILHA DA FUMAÇA F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilvan Rosa should have stopped the shot. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind ESQUADRILHA DA FUMAÇA F.C's goalkeeper Gilvan Rosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Tiaguinho Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ESQUADRILHA DA FUMAÇA F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. S.E.R Mergulhão - RS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
