Ricardo de Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Erik de Amaral made a huge save. Passamo EC's Erik de Amaral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Passamo EC from getting a goal against them. Giuseppe Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erik de Amaral made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Zé Roberto Linares sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Domingues in the 13th minute of play forced Passamo EC's goalkeeper Erik de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Giuseppe Viana, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 14 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Erik de Amaral was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ricardo de Carvalho took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erik de Amaral. Erik de Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Ricardo de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Gino Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Passamo EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gino Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilvan Rosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gino Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Gilvan Rosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gino Matos struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Gilvan Rosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Passamo EC. Gilvan Rosa came out of the goal and Gino Matos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Roberto Linares in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erik de Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gino Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Passamo EC's Erik de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuseppe Viana in the 64th minute of play. Erik de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuseppe Viana in the 66th minute of play. When Gilberto Ribeiro fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ESQUADRILHA DA FUMAÇA F.C's protests and gave Gilberto Ribeiro a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had been going on for 70 minutes, Passamo EC's Michel Moreno got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gilvan Rosa. In the 73rd match minute, Passamo EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualter Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. Erik de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Roberto Linares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, ESQUADRILHA DA FUMAÇA F.C's Gilvan Rosa got control of the ball when Gino Matos tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Giuseppe Viana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erik de Amaral was relentless in the 85th minute of the game.
