Acácio Falcão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário Baggio in the 12th minute of the match. A collision led to Picles de Pepino getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Zé Goiano hit a great ball. Picles de Pepino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lounès Bensaoula was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The Picles de Pepino fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Picles de Pepino's Christian Kaiser looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dalmo Penha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Acácio Falcão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. After 68 played minutes Picles de Pepino got a freekick which was hit by Mané dos Santos. A collision led to Laje de Pedra getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Romário Baggio hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Romário Baggio put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Acácio Falcão. In the 88th minute Christian Kaiser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisinho Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Augusto Camargo made in the 89th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Romário Baggio however managed to control. Dalmo Penha charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dalmo Penha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th minute, Dalmo Penha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lounès Bensaoula recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 97 minutes into the match, Lounès Bensaoula had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luisinho Martins. Laje de Pedra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lounès Bensaoula was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2.
