André Luiz Pitta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. When Cachaceiros FC's Antônio de Salles in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 26th minute of the match Gil Fonseca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manfred Låsberg skillfully saved the ball. Durval Arantes hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Paulo José Ceresso acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 32nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Haroldo Brasil. After having played for 33 minutes, Hamdullah Olgunsoy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.E.R Mergulhão - RS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hamdullah Olgunsoy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Tiaguinho Soeiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paulo José Ceresso. The goal made the score 3-1. Paulo José Ceresso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiaguinho Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiaguinho Soeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Zekai Tefhim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.E.R Mergulhão - RS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachaceiros FC the free kick. The supporters of Cachaceiros FC booed when S.E.R Mergulhão - RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zekai Tefhim didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Durval Arantes notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Cachaceiros FC's Paulo José Ceresso. Paulo José Ceresso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Paulo José Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiaguinho Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Cachaceiros FC's Paulo José Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamdullah Olgunsoy in the 64th minute of play. Paulo José Ceresso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiaguinho Soeiro went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Hamdullah Olgunsoy charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hamdullah Olgunsoy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 70th minute, Hamdullah Olgunsoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiaguinho Soeiro scored 6-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo José Ceresso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio de Salles in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manfred Låsberg saved S.E.R Mergulhão - RS from getting behind. 88 minutes into the match, S.E.R Mergulhão - RS's Durval Arantes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo José Ceresso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. S.E.R Mergulhão - RS's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
