Spectators: 7523 (Terracing: 5643, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antônio de Salles started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute Tony de Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo José Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacinto Mesquita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antônio de Salles's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute of the match Eugênio Saraiva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo José Ceresso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jacinto Mesquita made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Antônio de Salles sent off a good shot on target. Paulo José Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jefferson Albuquerque, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Romeu Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Paulo José Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Baiano in the 32nd minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tony de Barros to make the kick off. Antônio de Salles took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacinto Mesquita. Jacinto Mesquita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Thanks to some nice moves Marquinhos Baiano could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Paulo José Ceresso however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jefferson Albuquerque in the 60th minute of play forced Cachaceiros FC's goalkeeper Paulo José Ceresso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Claudinho de Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cachaceiros FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Jefferson Albuquerque scored to the left of an out of position Paulo José Ceresso, making the score, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antônio de Salles in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Mesquita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bin Osama fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Mesquita having to interfere. Benê Nogueira's late challenge caught a Cachaceiros FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benê Nogueira helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cobe SC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Benê Nogueira hit a great ball. In the 71st minute of the match Luís Fábio Fantini shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacinto Mesquita showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 78th minute of the match Arlindo Luz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacinto Mesquita showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Marquinhos Baiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo José Ceresso. Cachaceiros FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marquinhos Baiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The Cachaceiros FC fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Cachaceiros FC's Antônio de Salles looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cobe SC's Jacinto Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio de Salles in the 91st minute of play. When Cachaceiros FC's Antônio de Salles in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cobe SC's goalie prevented a goal. Paulo José Ceresso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeu Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Cachaceiros FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
