In the 10th minute, Dalmo Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Cannavieiras's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Roberto Linares came free, but Kléberson Pena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute of the match, Dalmo Gomes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gilvan Rosa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Adalberto de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th match minute, Cannavieiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmo Gomes to maneuver through the defense. Gilvan Rosa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cannavieiras had played much better football throughout.
