Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sydney da Mata started the match with the kick off. Luizinho da Silveira came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by SC ITAJAI's Sydney da Mata. But to his dismay, Sydney da Mata quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, SC ITAJAI's Telmo Melo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luizinho da Silveira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amílton Ribeiro during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sydney da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizinho da Silveira having to interfere. When João Pedro Vasconcelos fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Theozera's protests and gave João Pedro Vasconcelos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, Theozera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Pedro Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Sydney da Mata managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC ITAJAI's supporters rose to their feet, but Sydney da Mata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luizinho da Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Zé Carlos Favoretto fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Theozera's protests and gave Zé Carlos Favoretto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st match minute, Theozera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Carlos Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Theozera's goal looked a bit too open when Telmo Melo came free, but Luizinho da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the SC ITAJAI defense, Didi de Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fabiano Paiva. The SC ITAJAI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fabiano Paiva should have stopped the shot. SC ITAJAI's Telmo Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Sydney da Mata's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luizinho da Silveira was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Sydney da Mata blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luizinho da Silveira having to make a save. In the 46th minute of the match Narciso Garcia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luizinho da Silveira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The wind increased when Didi de Sousa made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Telmo Melo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luizinho da Silveira, 1-2. Didi de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fabiano Paiva having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Telmo Melo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luizinho da Silveira. Telmo Melo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. SC ITAJAI made a substitution. Paulinho de Azevedo replaced Sydney da Mata. SC ITAJAI's Paulinho de Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Telmo Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Paulinho de Azevedo, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 84 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Luizinho da Silveira was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 86 played minutes Theozera got a freekick which was hit by Kauan Vargas. Paulinho de Azevedo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Luizinho da Silveira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Telmo Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizinho da Silveira having to interfere. The SC ITAJAI players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
