Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ambrosio Faron started the match with the kick off. ESTOPIM CAMPINAS's Genílson Romero quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Túlio Azevedo, made in the 5th minute of the game. When Dorival Furtado fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ESTOPIM CAMPINAS's protests and gave Dorival Furtado a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mataruna EC booed when ESTOPIM CAMPINAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorival Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Mataruna EC's Alfredo Novaes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jedrzej Domalik. Jedrzej Domalik yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Valdo Barros who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Jedrzej Domalik when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Valdo Barros came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jedrzej Domalik could save by the left post. When Ambrosio Faron came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the ESTOPIM CAMPINAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ambrosio Faron couldn't finish the play. After 31 minutes, Germano Amorim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mataruna EC and the ESTOPIM CAMPINAS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, Mataruna EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germano Amorim to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Jedrzej Domalik managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Mataruna EC's Valdo Barros fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alfredo Novaes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Jedrzej Domalik skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 44th minute, Valdo Barros made a precise shot to the right of Jedrzej Domalik. ESTOPIM CAMPINAS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 48th minute Valdo Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jedrzej Domalik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valdo Barros was the one to do the kick off. Jedrzej Domalik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdo Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Edu Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jedrzej Domalik having to interfere. ESTOPIM CAMPINAS's Jedrzej Domalik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Barros in the 61st minute of play. In the 66th minute, Valdo Barros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mataruna EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Jedrzej Domalik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edu Rezende in the 69th minute of the match. Jedrzej Domalik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdo Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute, Valdo Barros made a precise shot to the right of Jedrzej Domalik. ESTOPIM CAMPINAS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Samuca Peres struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Jedrzej Domalik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mataruna EC. After 82 played minutes ESTOPIM CAMPINAS got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Messias. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdo Barros in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jedrzej Domalik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jedrzej Domalik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo Barros in the 92nd minute of play.
