To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodrigo Sergipano hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Salqueiro EC's Natã Lira was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 13th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Frederico Hoffmann took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Délio Pombal to make any attempt to save it. 24 minutes into the match, Frederico Hoffmann notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Wiig's Délio Pombal. Délio Pombal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Wiig's Giuseppe Damião got a free kick in the 26th minute. If Natã Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 32 minutes of play, Wiig's Luís Gustavo Brito made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedrão Linares was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 39 minutes, Giuseppe Damião mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wiig and the Salqueiro EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Giuseppe Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 40 minutes, Natã Lira made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Wiig's Délio Pombal tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 45 minutes, Augusto Leite mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salqueiro EC and the Wiig players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Salqueiro EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Leite to maneuver through the defense. Natã Lira did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 5-1 to the left of a surprised Délio Pombal 49 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Gustavo Brito stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Wiig's Giuseppe Damião got a free kick in the 55th minute. Délio Pombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Cardozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 62nd match minute, Wiig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giuseppe Damião to maneuver through the defense. Frederico Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Délio Pombal having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Natã Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salqueiro EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Natã Lira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Délio Pombal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Wiig's Luís Gustavo Brito slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedrão Linares. That made the score 6-2 after 67 minutes of play. In the 74th minute Frederico Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Délio Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frederico Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natã Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Délio Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Sergipano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wiig's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salqueiro EC the free kick. Natã Lira charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Natã Lira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Wiig booed when Salqueiro EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natã Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Frederico Hoffmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-2. Délio Pombal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Salqueiro EC had played much better football throughout.
