Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Maceió Ice Dragons's zone, Dagoberto Teles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Ferraz came out of the goal and Dagoberto Teles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Paulo Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Linares having to interfere. Richard Ferraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute, Natã Lira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Ferraz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Pedrão Linares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luís Paulo Dias showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 41 minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Natã Lira might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richard Ferraz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Natã Lira ran back to his position shaking his head. Natã Lira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Richard Ferraz made a huge save. After some careless play in the Maceió Ice Dragons defense, Frederico Hoffmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Richard Ferraz. The Maceió Ice Dragons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Richard Ferraz should have stopped the shot. Salqueiro EC's Pedrão Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulão Pombal in the 80th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Custódio during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 81 played minutes Salqueiro EC got a freekick which was hit by Joel Custódio. Richard Ferraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dagoberto Teles, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute.
