In the 46th minute, Zé Carlos de Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Sao Cristovao players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rio Branco EC were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Carlos de Amaral to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Rio Branco EC's Caetano Chaves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Fábio Lucas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sao Cristovao's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Lucas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Silas Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Caetano Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fábio Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Carlos de Amaral in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luiz Fábio Lucas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 88th minute, Zé Carlos de Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zé Carlos de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Rio Branco EC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sao Cristovao throughout the match.
