Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Luciano Fonseca took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Wiig's Alfredão Gonçalves got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute, Silas Baptista sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Wiig's Délio Pombal didn't even have to move. Luciano Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Délio Pombal having to interfere. Narciso Sarmento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Wiig's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Fonseca came free, but Délio Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Wiig defense, Narciso Sarmento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Délio Pombal. The Wiig fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Délio Pombal should have stopped the shot. After 17 minutes, Tião de Medeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wiig and the Sao Cristovao players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tião de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afonsinho Veiga during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd minute Luciano Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Délio Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 played minutes Wiig got a freekick which was hit by Guga Donatello. Luciano Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 32 played minutes, Wiig's Rogério Nunes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Lucas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Wiig reached it. After 39 played minutes Luís Gustavo Brito rounded Sao Cristovao's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Délio Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Fonseca in the 42nd minute of the match. If Luciano Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Narciso Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Délio Pombal having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Luís Gustavo Brito made the kick off in the second half. Tião de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Luiz Fábio Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wiig's Délio Pombal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Wiig from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Veiga in the 59th minute of play forced Sao Cristovao's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Lucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fábio Lucas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Gustavo Brito's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. After 61 minutes, Silvério França mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sao Cristovao and the Wiig players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sao Cristovao getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Silvério França hit a great ball. Délio Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Fonseca in the 67th minute of the match. Luiz Fábio Lucas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tião de Medeiros in the 96th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
