The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dinei Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Oséias Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Davi Meireles in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oséias Secco saved CR Alanzinho from getting behind. Nestor Sá hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After 7 minutes of play, Navegantes's Davi Meireles made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oséias Secco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dinei Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lauro Barral having to interfere. In the 16thth minute of the game Davi Meireles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CR Alanzinho's Oséias Secco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Navegantes booed when CR Alanzinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aílton Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toninho Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Davi Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oséias Secco having to interfere. Oséias Secco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Davi Meireles in the 83rd minute. CR Alanzinho's Oséias Secco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davi Meireles in the 84th minute of play. If Rubinho Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the CR Alanzinho defense, Dinei Corrêa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oséias Secco. The CR Alanzinho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oséias Secco should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Navegantes could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CR Alanzinho throughout the match.
