Arlindo Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oséias Secco having to interfere. In the 35th match minute, Leverger F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Lima to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Luís Paes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toninho Albuquerque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toninho Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Pedro Luís Paes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oséias Secco came out of the goal and Arlindo Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arlindo Montenegro in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oséias Secco saved CR Alanzinho from getting behind. In the 57th minute Toninho Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Paes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Leverger F.C booed when CR Alanzinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fábio Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute, Toninho Albuquerque reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Luís Paes. The goal made the score 0-1. In the 75th minute Arlindo Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oséias Secco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
