After a defensive mix-up in Estrada das Areias FC's zone, Luizão Ramalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseu Sabóia came out of the goal and Luizão Ramalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luizão Ramalho was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 21st minute. Os Predadores FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Luizão Ramalho struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Eliseu Sabóia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Os Predadores FC. João Augusto Esteves hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Luizão Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu Sabóia having to interfere. Eliseu Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 35 minutes, Luizão Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Os Predadores FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luizão Ramalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th match minute, Estrada das Areias FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murilo Proença to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute Osvaldinho Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Estrada das Areias FC booed when Os Predadores FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Corrêa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mathias Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denílson Leão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Luizão Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Os Predadores FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luizão Ramalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliseu Sabóia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Denílson Leão was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Luizão Ramalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabriel Corrêa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eliseu Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseu Vaz in the 56th minute of the match. Mathias Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Leão in the 58th minute of play. Luizão Ramalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Eliseu Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mathias Pontes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
