The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abel Santana to make the kick off. Luciano Mineiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antônio Carlos Catarinense during the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Sporting Colegio RJ's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Santana came free, but Luciano Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 邱广耀 was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jacinto Fernandez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 84 minute of play. If Abel Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Abel Santana sped through Sporting Colegio RJ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luciano Mineiro.
