In the 10th minute, Osvaldinho Leme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luciano Mineiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Leão in the 15th minute of play forced Sporting Colegio RJ's goalkeeper Luciano Mineiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hudson da Costa took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luciano Mineiro. Luciano Mineiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Luciano Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Leão in the 21st minute of play. Carlos Eduardo Mineiro charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Eduardo Mineiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sporting Colegio RJ getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Wágner Dracena hit a great ball. João Augusto Esteves didn't quite understand what happened when in the 36 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 38th minute, Osvaldinho Leme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luciano Mineiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacinto Fernandez to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Sporting Colegio RJ's goalkeeper Luciano Mineiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldinho Leme. Osvaldinho Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Luciano Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 55 played minutes Sporting Colegio RJ got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Matorin. Osvaldinho Leme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luciano Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denílson Leão in the 60th minute of the match. Luciano Mineiro made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Osvaldinho Leme sent off a good shot on target. When Jacinto Fernandez came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Sporting Colegio RJ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Fernandez couldn't finish the play. After 69 minutes, Dráuzio Proença mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Colegio RJ and the Estrada das Areias FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Estrada das Areias FC booed when Sporting Colegio RJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráuzio Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danilo Moreno struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Luciano Mineiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estrada das Areias FC. The crowd rose to their feet as Hudson da Costa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luciano Mineiro. That made the score 0-5 in the 74 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Estrada das Areias FC's Danilo Moreno got a free kick in the 77th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Luciano Mineiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 83rd minute, Estrada das Areias FC's Denílson Leão ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luciano Mineiro. Luciano Mineiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. 0-7 became the score in the 86th minute when Zé Pedro Nunes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Osvaldinho Leme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luciano Mineiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Sporting Colegio RJ's Luciano Mineiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Colegio RJ from getting a goal against them. Luciano Mineiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denílson Leão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denílson Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Sporting Colegio RJ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Estrada das Areias FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
