Marquinhos de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Egídio Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Gaspar in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Gaspar in the 58th minute of play forced Counani's goalkeeper Egídio Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd match minute, Counani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulysses Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the game, Real Position's Alexandre da Cunha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Egídio Tavares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 75 minutes of play, Real Position's Alexandre da Cunha made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egídio Tavares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Egídio Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Egídio Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre da Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After a rather tough play, Real Position's Diego Romero got a free kick in the 84th minute. Paulo Vander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Marquinhos de Medeiros made a huge save. Victor Sena struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Marquinhos de Medeiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Counani. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Sena in the 93rd minute of play forced Real Position's goalkeeper Marquinhos de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Gaspar struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Egídio Tavares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Position. Counani's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
