Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zézinho de Queiroz took the kick off in the first half of the match. Arí Ribeiro struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Sílvio Luiz Ceresso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dois Irmãos F. C.. After a rather tough play, Dois Irmãos F. C.'s Sebastião Veloso got a free kick in the 7th minute. After 10 minutes, Osmar Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Abacates and the Dois Irmãos F. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Andrézinho Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho de Queiroz in the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho de Queiroz in the 13th minute of play forced Dois Irmãos F. C.'s goalkeeper Andrézinho Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Zézinho de Queiroz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Abacates fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Sílvio Luiz Ceresso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastião Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zézinho de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Andrézinho Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sílvio Luiz Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Medeiros in the 35th minute of play. After 41 played minutes Dois Irmãos F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Arí Ribeiro. In the 42nd minute of the match Simão Tavares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andrézinho Pinheiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Dois Irmãos F. C. getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Renatinho Pirani hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joélson Nóbrega was the one to do the kick off. Dois Irmãos F. C.'s Andrézinho Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho de Queiroz in the 51st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dois Irmãos F. C.'s Adilson Cabral got a free kick in the 57th minute. Abacates's Simão Tavares shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 58th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Andrézinho Pinheiro but with some difficulty. 63 minutes into the match, Dois Irmãos F. C.'s goalkeeper Andrézinho Pinheiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zézinho de Queiroz. In the 64th minute, Zézinho de Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Abacates's Luís Fábio de Barros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrézinho Pinheiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Andrézinho Pinheiro came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Abacates's Zézinho de Queiroz. But to his dismay, Zézinho de Queiroz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Zézinho de Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Luís Fábio de Barros came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Abacates fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fábio de Barros couldn't finish the play. 89 minutes into the match, Joélson Nóbrega notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Abacates's Sílvio Luiz Ceresso. Sílvio Luiz Ceresso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Abacates walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
