Yuri Donatello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Lima having to make a save. After 8 played minutes Grêmio Vista Alegre got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Albuquerque. After having played for 9 minutes, Rony Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CARDANO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rony Breckenfeld was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Yuri Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot. CARDANO's supporters rose to their feet, but Yuri Donatello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adriano Pires, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Vitinho Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horácio Faria in the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, CARDANO's Bebeto Nunes got a free kick in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio Vista Alegre's zone, Bebeto Nunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Lima came out of the goal and Bebeto Nunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fred Terra's late challenge caught a Grêmio Vista Alegre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fred Terra helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd minute, Fred Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vitinho Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavinho Nascimento got free with Vitinho Pereira in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fred Terra kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Afonsinho Camargo came free with the goalkeeper in the 48th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vitinho Pereira could save by the left post. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Horácio Faria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Grêmio Vista Alegre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavinho Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute, Yuri Donatello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vitinho Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Borges in the 64th minute of the match. Yuri Donatello took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Lima. Daniel Lima dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Daniel Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rony Breckenfeld in the 72nd minute of play. Yuri Donatello scored 0-6 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniel Lima, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Reynaldo Albuquerque kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Daniel Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bebeto Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Flavinho Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Yuri Donatello struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Daniel Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CARDANO. CARDANO's Vitinho Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Faria in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. CARDANO had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
