Laerte Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Se Leu Mamou. Albertino Lucass short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Laerte Brito to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Germano Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Laerte Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Albertino Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Se Leu Mamou's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertino Lucas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laerte Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teodoro Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte Brito having to interfere. In the 33rdth minute of the game Albertino Lucas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Acotea Futebol Clube's Laerte Brito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albertino Lucas in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laerte Brito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 45 minutes of play, Acotea Futebol Clube's Chiquinho Vander made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oséias da Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chiquinho Vander was the one to do the kick off. Germano Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Acotea Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Albertino Lucas came free, but Laerte Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laerte Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertino Lucas in the 67th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Teodoro Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laerte Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Albertino Lucas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laerte Brito was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 85th minute, Chiquinho Vander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
