The Guanandi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrick Sergipano should have stopped the shot. Patrick Sergipano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diguinho Moreno in the 15th minute. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Claudinei Pinheiro took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Patrick Sergipano to make any attempt to save it. Raça fla's Claudinei Pinheiro was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 23rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Raça fla's goal looked a bit too open when José Carlos Vasconcelos came free, but Cesinha Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th match minute, Guanandi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdo Arce to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Guanandi's goalkeeper Patrick Sergipano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diguinho Moreno. After 35 played minutes Guanandi got a freekick which was hit by William Maciel. A collision led to Guanandi getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Glauco Alagoano hit a great ball. With a little luck, Guanandi's Patrick Sergipano got control of the ball when Claudinei Pinheiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 48th minute of the match William Maciel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cesinha Ferreira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudinei Pinheiro to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Reginaldo de Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuca Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinei Pinheiro in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrick Sergipano saved Guanandi from getting behind. When Raça fla's Claudinei Pinheiro in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guanandi's goalie prevented a goal. The Raça fla fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Raça fla's Diguinho Moreno looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. José Carlos Vasconceloss short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Cesinha Ferreira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Claudinei Pinheiro took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patrick Sergipano. Patrick Sergipano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Angelo Rosa hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After 81 minutes, Claudinei Pinheiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Raça fla and the Guanandi players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute, Claudinei Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. William Maciel hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Danilo Simões ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Patrick Sergipano was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. 89 minutes into the game, Cipriano Luz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Raça fla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guanandi the free kick. In the 89th match minute, Raça fla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Luz to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Samuca Dante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
