The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Serafim Guerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Futebol Clube Cascavel's Serafim Guerra managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Claudinho Alvarenga in the 17 minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benjamin Tande in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eriberto Costa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eriberto Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Futebol Clube Cascavel's Frederico Vides got control of the ball when Otávio Vasconcelos tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Fechado's zone, Benjamin Tande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Costa came out of the goal and Benjamin Tande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Serafim Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Costa having to interfere. Benjamin Tande took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eriberto Costa. Eriberto Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Rodriguinho Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Otávio Vasconcelos to strike the kick off in the second half. After 67 minutes, Claudinho Alvarenga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fechado and the Futebol Clube Cascavel players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Fechado getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Claudinho Alvarenga hit a great ball. Frederico Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otávio Vasconcelos in the 90th minute of the match. Futebol Clube Cascavel were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Fechado's much stronger midfield.
