Densill 叶挺 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvaldo Secco, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd match minute, Negrão Fogo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Munhoz to maneuver through the defense. The Atlético-MG fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Atlético-MG's Adelino Perez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adelino Perez in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Densill 叶挺 saved Negrão Fogo FC from getting behind. After the first half Atlético-MG were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Samuel Guter to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Benjamin Munhoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Densill 叶挺 as he didn't even see the shot coming. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adelino Perez in the 65th managed to get into a good position. The referee showed Juan Soeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hannu Salo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 78th minute. Atlético-MG's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Atlético-MG's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Soeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Densill 叶挺 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Atlético-MG played a much better game than Negrão Fogo FC and deserved their victory. The Negrão Fogo FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
