After 22 minutes, Gilson Moreno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PEREBAH FC and the Atlético-MG players grew even worse after the yellow card. The tension between the Atlético-MG and the PEREBAH FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Atlético-MG's Alberto Simão got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Benjamim Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 55 minutes of play, PEREBAH FC's Vito de Sena made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After some careless play in the PEREBAH FC defense, Alberto Simão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amauri Proença. The PEREBAH FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amauri Proença should have stopped the shot. Atlético-MG's Amos Nero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito de Sena in the 73rd minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
