The referee ignored Heineken FC's protests and gave Valdomiro Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. Valdomiro Amorim hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute of the match Edgar Capixaba sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ildefonso Rayman skillfully saved the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Heineken FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Cachambu EC for much of the match.
