Richard Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Carlos Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ismael Matorin hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Armandinho Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meoas's supporters rose to their feet, but Armandinho Maciel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Figueiredo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emílio Baiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute, Alessandro Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 38 minutes, Emílio Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Giggantes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emílio Baiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Deivid Cunha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Rocha was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. When Meoas's Bruninho Tepedino in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 60th minute, Bruninho Tepedino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Meoas booed when Giggantes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deivid Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute Bruninho Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deivid Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Deivid Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 played minutes Giggantes FC got a freekick which was hit by Deivid Cunha. In the 71st minute, João Carlos Rosa made a precise shot to the right of Richard Rocha. Meoas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Emílio Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Richard Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 78 minutes, Armandinho Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meoas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armandinho Maciel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruninho Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If João Carlos Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Matorin's late challenge caught a Giggantes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ismael Matorin helped the player get up and apologised. After 82 played minutes Meoas got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Matorin. In the 87th minute Emílio Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Igor Castro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Meoas players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
