Osvaldinho Azevedo took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nando Pernambucano. Nando Pernambucano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Franz Maurer was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 9th minute. Leto Team's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Franz Maurer did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Denílson Proença 9 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Leto Team's Franz Maurer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruninho Vergílio in the 19th minute of play forced Leto Team's goalkeeper Nando Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Franz Maurer in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denílson Proença prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Franz Maurer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denílson Proença having to interfere. Denílson Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franz Maurer in the 27th minute of the match. Franz Maurer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Denílson Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorin Cazimir got free with Denílson Proença in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, TRICOLOR's Giovani Cardozo got a free kick in the 36th minute. Franz Maurer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Denílson Proença read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Leto Team's Olavo Marinho quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gil Tande, made in the 39th minute of the game. Denílson Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franz Maurer in the 39th minute of play. With a little luck, TRICOLOR's Denílson Proença got control of the ball when Dorin Cazimir tried to sneak it across the goal line. Franz Maurer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eriberto Paiva hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Denílson Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franz Maurer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Franz Maurer to strike the kick off in the second half. Nando Pernambucano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osvaldinho Azevedo in the 56th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Franz Maurer in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denílson Proença saved TRICOLOR from getting behind. In the 66th minute, Franz Maurer made a precise shot to the right of Denílson Proença. TRICOLOR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. The supporters of TRICOLOR booed when Leto Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olavo Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denílson Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franz Maurer in the 76th minute of play. In the 88thth minute of the game Franz Maurer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TRICOLOR's Denílson Proença was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Franz Maurer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leto Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Franz Maurer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denílson Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The throw-in from Gil Tande in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Leto Team's Dorin Cazimir.
