Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when João Carlos Rosa kicked off to start the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Marquinhos Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Antinha EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marquinhos Cardoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Giggantes FC's zone, Vitinho Furtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Figueiredo came out of the goal and Vitinho Furtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcelinho Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Figueiredo having to interfere. Emílio Baiano charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emílio Baiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vitinho Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Danilo Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28thth minute of the game Marquinhos Cardoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Giggantes FC's Danilo Figueiredo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 29th minute, Vitinho Furtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marquinhos Cardoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danilo Figueiredo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Emílio Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Giggantes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emílio Baiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Giggantes FC's Chicão Novaes threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from João Carlos Rosa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vitinho Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Figueiredo having to interfere. João Carlos Rosa struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Chicão Novaes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Giggantes FC.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marquinhos Cardoso to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vitinho Furtado got free with Danilo Figueiredo in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. João Carlos Rosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 60 minutes, Vitinho Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Antinha EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitinho Furtado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Marquinhos Cardoso took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Danilo Figueiredo to make any attempt to save it. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Vitinho Furtado sped through Giggantes FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Danilo Figueiredo. In the 69th minute, João Carlos Rosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Giggantes FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Vitinho Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Marquinhos Cardoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danilo Figueiredo was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Giggantes FC's Danilo Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos Cardoso in the 87th minute of play. Yan Falcão's late challenge caught a Antinha EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yan Falcão helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute, Yan Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danilo Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Cardoso in the 92nd minute of play.
