Raphael Donato was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Neves in the 10th minute of play forced São Paulo Luz's goalkeeper Raphael Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raphael Donato. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Neves ran back to his position shaking his head. When João Francisco Branco fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored São Paulo Luz's protests and gave João Francisco Branco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, João Francisco Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Pendotiba's Raphael Donato threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Paulo Neves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Augusto Valadares's late challenge caught a Pendotiba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augusto Valadares helped the player get up and apologised. Augusto Valadares kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. São Paulo Luz's Raphael Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Neves in the 21st minute of play. If Eusébio da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Raphael Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Pendotiba's Allan Arruda dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Eusébio da Costa succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 42nd playminute. Cristian Hoffmann hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Kuno Heiberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandro Carvalho in the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Neves to strike the kick off in the second half. Paulo Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Donato having to interfere. Raphael Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Hoffmann in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th match minute, São Paulo Luz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomás Fontes to maneuver through the defense. Raphael Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Neves in the 55th minute of the match. Raphael Donato stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Neves's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Allan Arruda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Allan Arruda notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of São Paulo Luz's Raphael Donato. Raphael Donato was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Raphael Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Pendotiba players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
