After having played for 22 minutes, Rafa Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ipanema SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafa Pirani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Alfredão Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. ROSA DOS VENTOS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredão Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tarcisio Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Ipanema SS getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Patrick Ortiz hit a great ball. With a little luck, Ipanema SS's Tarcisio Amaral got control of the ball when Washington Nascimento tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wesley França hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Cássio de Sena struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Sidnei Medeiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. The supporters of Ipanema SS booed when ROSA DOS VENTOS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley França didn't get a good kick on the ball. ROSA DOS VENTOS FC's Sidnei Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio de Sena in the 92nd minute of play. Rafa Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, ROSA DOS VENTOS FC's Inácio Valladares got a free kick in the 96th minute. When Rafa Pirani came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Ipanema SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafa Pirani couldn't finish the play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
