The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rafael Veloso hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Giuseppe Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot. AGE Guarany's supporters rose to their feet, but Giuseppe Gerber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walmyr Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With 15 minutes on the clock, Ronaldão Mello commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to Derribadinha AD getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ronaldão Mello hit a great ball. AGE Guarany's Ernesto Branco couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 17th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Derribadinha AD. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Ernesto Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot. AGE Guarany's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Branco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walmyr Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomero Jurdan got free with Walmyr Mota in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rdth minute of the game Giuseppe Gerber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Derribadinha AD's Walmyr Mota was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Walmyr Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Jurdan in the 25th minute of play. If Giuseppe Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walmyr Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Murilo Gerber charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Murilo Gerber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 43 minutes into the match, AGE Guarany's Giuseppe Gerber sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Walmyr Mota narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ernesto Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Hortêncio Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tony Souto in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Baldomero Jurdan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Walmyr Mota was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Walmyr Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giuseppe Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Walmyr Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Jurdan in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe Gerber in the 61st minute of play forced Derribadinha AD's goalkeeper Walmyr Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Giuseppe Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Ernesto Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Derribadinha AD's Juarês Seco got a free kick in the 70th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Derribadinha AD's Válter Oliveira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hortêncio Costa. That made the score 4-1 after 73 minutes of play. If Baldomero Jurdan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the game, Baldomero Jurdan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Walmyr Mota was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Walmyr Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giuseppe Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Walmyr Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giuseppe Gerber in the 86th minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgílio Toscano couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the AGE Guarany players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
