Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rafa Pirani took the kick off in the first half of the match. Roberto Varela might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dráuzio de Andrade. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roberto Varela ran back to his position shaking his head. If Rafa Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Patrick Ortiz struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Dráuzio de Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ipanema SS. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcus Monteiro during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 7 minutes into the game, one of Barruada SS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ipanema SS's Tarcisio Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juninho Cruz in the 15th minute of play. Tarcisio Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juninho Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Juninho Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Dráuzio de Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dráuzio de Andrade didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 22nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Dráuzio de Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remo Secco in the 25th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Varela got free with Dráuzio de Andrade in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Barruada SS's goalkeeper Dráuzio de Andrade, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tarcisio Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Roberto Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juninho Cruz to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Ipanema SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. Sandrinho Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Roberto Varela took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dráuzio de Andrade. Dráuzio de Andrade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Rui Trigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute, Rafa Pirani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dráuzio de Andrade was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Nico Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafa Pirani scored 5-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dráuzio de Andrade, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Juninho Cruz took a quick shot and it went in 5-1 without a chance for Tarcisio Amaral to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Barruada SS booed when Ipanema SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hortêncio Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ipanema SS's goalkeeper Tarcisio Amaral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Remo Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 played minutes Barruada SS got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Costa. 87 minutes into the game, Roberto Varela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ipanema SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barruada SS the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ipanema SS's Roberto Varela got a free kick in the 87th minute. Tarcisio Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Dráuzio de Andrade came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Ipanema SS's Roberto Varela. But to his dismay, Roberto Varela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Juninho Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Tarcisio Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barruada SS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
