Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The audience was convinced that Tony Souto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardinho Fernandes was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Walmyr Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Emerson Peres fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iracema's protests and gave Emerson Peres a yellow card for diving instead. Walmyr Mota stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lino Tavares's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. The throw-in from André Luís Sergipano in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Derribadinha AD's Murilo Gerber. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tony Souto in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardinho Fernandes saved Iracema from getting behind. Murilo Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Derribadinha AD booed when Iracema was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luís Sergipano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rogério de Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogério de Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 38 played minutes Iracema got a freekick which was hit by Rogério de Lima. Walmyr Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walmyr Mota was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Raimundo Guerra showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 42 minute of play.

The wind increased when Lino Tavares made the kick off in the second half. Telmo Neto made in the 58th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Magno Paulista. The throw-in from Emerson Peres in the 59th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Derribadinha AD's Telmo Neto. After 60 minutes of play Derribadinha AD's Murilo Gerber was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Juarês Seco's late challenge caught a Iracema's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juarês Seco helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Derribadinha AD:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Iracema:s goal. Walmyr Mota went to the wrong direction when Lino Tavares was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Derribadinha AD's zone, Lino Tavares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmyr Mota came out of the goal and Lino Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69thth minute of the game Lino Tavares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Derribadinha AD's Walmyr Mota was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The throw-in from Carlos Alberto Favoretto in the 71st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Derribadinha AD's Magno Paulista. Lino Tavares struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Walmyr Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iracema. 82 minutes into the game, Iracema's Raimundo Guerra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Walmyr Mota made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After having played for 86 minutes, Lino Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iracema's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lino Tavares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A beautiful save bye Derribadinha AD's goalie prevented a goal. A sloppy throw-in by Telmo Neto in the 94th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Iracema's Emerson Peres. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rogério de Lima in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walmyr Mota prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Walmyr Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Guerra in the 96th minute of the match.
