A.D.Maragatos's Alexander Reis quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 15th match minute, Corinthians do Interior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Cauã Vidal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Zé Roberto Siqueira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mário do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murillo Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Chicão Senna's late challenge caught a Corinthians do Interior's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chicão Senna helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, A.D.Maragatos's Chicão Senna got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The Corinthians do Interior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Roberto Siqueira should have stopped the shot. Cauã Vidal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of A.D.Maragatos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Corinthians do Interior:s goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cauã Vidal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Corinthians do Interior booed when A.D.Maragatos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cauan da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th match minute, A.D.Maragatos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chicão Senna to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, A.D.Maragatos's goalkeeper Mário do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredinho Valladares. In the 77th minute, Arí Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Corinthians do Interior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Roberto Siqueira should have stopped the shot. In the 97th match minute, A.D.Maragatos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chicão Senna to maneuver through the defense. A.D.Maragatos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
