The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ricardinho Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giuseppe Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Rogério de Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lino Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogério de Lima took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hortêncio Costa. Hortêncio Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 75 minutes into the match, Lino Tavares notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of AGE Guarany's Hortêncio Costa. Hortêncio Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Tavares in the 79th minute of play forced AGE Guarany's goalkeeper Hortêncio Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raimundo Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, AGE Guarany's Baldomero Jurdan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
