Spectators: 7616 (Terracing: 5741, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eärendil Ubago started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Eärendil Ubago was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Master-DF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monte Cristo EC the free kick. A collision led to Master-DF getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Eärendil Ubago hit a great ball. In the 11th minute of the match Tiro Cabasso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Víktor Perez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 15th minute Marian Lodowy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Luís das Neves's late challenge caught a Monte Cristo EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Luís das Neves helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro Luís das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marian Lodowy in the 21st minute of play forced Master-DF's goalkeeper Hamílton da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamílton da Mata came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Monte Cristo EC's Zé Roberto Velasco. But to his dismay, Zé Roberto Velasco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, Master-DF's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Lodowy came free, but Hamílton da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dário Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eärendil Ubago in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Víktor Perez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes into the game, Deivid Fernandez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monte Cristo EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Master-DF the free kick. Deivid Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Eärendil Ubago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Master-DF's supporters rose to their feet, but Eärendil Ubago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Víktor Perez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Augusto Donatello in the 37th minute of play forced Master-DF's goalkeeper Hamílton da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Marian Lodowy made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Zé Roberto Velasco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hamílton da Mata. Zé Roberto Velasco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dário Tepedino in the 58th minute of play forced Monte Cristo EC's goalkeeper Víktor Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 60th play minutes Eärendil Ubago shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Víktor Perez and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 66th minute of the match Tiro Cabasso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Víktor Perez skillfully saved the ball. Zé Roberto Velasco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hamílton da Mata having to make a save. Marian Lodowy received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hamílton da Mata came out and tried to block the shot, but Marian Lodowy slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 68th minute. If Eärendil Ubago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, José Paulo de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the game, Master-DF's Eärendil Ubago nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Víktor Perez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Víktor Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eärendil Ubago in the 77th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Eärendil Ubago notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Monte Cristo EC's Víktor Perez. Víktor Perez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Monte Cristo EC's Zé Roberto Velasco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hamílton da Mata. That made the score 3-4 after 79 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Monte Cristo EC's Zé Augusto Donatello got a free kick in the 83rd minute. If Eärendil Ubago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marian Lodowy fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monte Cristo EC's protests and gave Marian Lodowy a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 played minutes Monte Cristo EC got a freekick which was hit by Dênis Luz. Eärendil Ubago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Monte Cristo EC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Monte Cristo EC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
