In the 43rd minute of the match Dário Palmeira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacinto Barreto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 46th minute, Miguel Trancoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Caco Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Jacinto Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vladimir Lima stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jacinto Barreto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caco Toledo in the 93rd minute. Vladimir Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Barreto having to interfere. The S.E.R Vila Maria FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
