The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Víktor Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney de Lara in the 6th minute of play. Sydney de Lara's late challenge caught a Monte Cristo EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sydney de Lara helped the player get up and apologised. Sydney de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th minute of the match, Zé Roberto Velasco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cícero Berger was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Abade's Cícero Berger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Abade from getting a goal against them. Víktor Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anísio Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardinho Lopes during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ricardinho Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Abade! Zé Augusto Donatello kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Abade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Abade's Cícero Berger got control of the ball when Zé Augusto Donatello tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cícero Berger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marian Lodowy in the 33rd minute of the match. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Abade's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. José Paulo de Castro was slow to take the kick. During this time Monte Cristo EC's players had a chance to rest. Zé Augusto Donatello made a great header on Monte Cristo EC's corner, it was just that Abade's Cícero Berger managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 36th match minute, Abade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Abade's Cícero Berger got control of the ball when Zé Roberto Velasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marian Lodowy in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cícero Berger saved Abade from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Abade's Victor Sergipano got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Zé Roberto Velasco in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cícero Berger, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cícero Berger made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Zé Roberto Velasco sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marian Lodowy to strike the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Abade's Anísio Araújo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Víktor Perez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marian Lodowy in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cícero Berger saved Abade from getting behind. In the 67th minute, Monte Cristo EC's Cosmin Fărcașu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cosmin Fărcașu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Monte Cristo EC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cosmin Fărcașu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 68 played minutes Monte Cristo EC got a freekick which was hit by Cosmin Fărcașu. Hortêncio Loureiro missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 69 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Víktor Perez right hand side. Cícero Berger came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Monte Cristo EC's Marian Lodowy. But to his dismay, Marian Lodowy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Abade's Sydney de Lara was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 81st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The supporters of Abade booed when Monte Cristo EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deivid Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Zé Augusto Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Abade players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Monte Cristo EC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
