Tapera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vítor Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute Luís Fernando Paes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo das Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Vítor Luz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sandro Coelho was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Zachary Krzynowek hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the game, Dedê Figueiredo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tapera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coritiba FC the free kick. Coritiba FC's players were relieved. 29 minutes into the match, Coritiba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Luz came free, but Sandro Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Luz in the 40th minute of play forced Coritiba FC's goalkeeper Sandro Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilmar Cruz hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. When Honorato Nardo came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Tapera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorato Nardo couldn't finish the play. If Honorato Nardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Honorato Nardo to strike the kick off in the second half. Tapera's Honorato Nardo got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 5-0 became the score in the 55th minute when Honorato Nardo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 62nd match minute, Coritiba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fernando Paes to maneuver through the defense. Vítor Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Coritiba FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Benjamin Pitta hit a great ball. In the 72nd match minute, Coritiba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fernando Paes to maneuver through the defense. Honorato Nardo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sandro Coelho having to make a save. Sandro Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Honorato Nardo in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sandro Coelho saved Coritiba FC from getting behind. Vítor Luz struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Sandro Coelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tapera. If Vítor Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 minutes of play Coritiba FC's Gilmar Cruz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 89th match minute, Coritiba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilmar Cruz to maneuver through the defense. After taking down the ball on Tapera's corner Geovânio Senna fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sandro Coelho quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Tapera booed when Coritiba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perivaldo Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dedê Figueiredo, 96 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Tapera's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
