Agostinho Mesquita charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agostinho Mesquita the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Águia de Marabá STAND BY's Agostinho Mesquita got a free kick in the 10th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Águia de Marabá STAND BY's goalkeeper Dudu Jacinto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geovânio Cruz. Rony Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dudu Jacinto having to interfere. Rony Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Dudu Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Castanhao's zone, Wiliam Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Barreto came out of the goal and Wiliam Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Michel Prestes made a precise shot to the right of Jacinto Barreto. Castanhao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Rony Rocha struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Dudu Jacinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castanhao. Rony Rocha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Dudu Jacinto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sandrinho Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Jacinto Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Prestes in the 47th minute of play. The Castanhao players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Águia de Marabá STAND BY were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geovânio Cruz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Wiliam Nunes fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castanhao's protests and gave Wiliam Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Wiliam Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Geovânio Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Castanhao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovânio Cruz couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Águia de Marabá STAND BY's Agostinho Mesquita got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Sandrinho Sergipano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute Geovânio Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dudu Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Águia de Marabá STAND BY's Dudu Jacinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovânio Cruz in the 76th minute of play. Dudu Jacinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rony Rocha in the 77th minute of play. Michel Prestes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Jacinto Barreto made a huge save. If Geovânio Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geovânio Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Geovânio Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Águia de Marabá STAND BY's zone, Wiliam Nunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dudu Jacinto came out of the goal and Wiliam Nunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Águia de Marabá STAND BY were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Castanhao's much stronger midfield.
