Tapera's supporters rose to their feet, but Vítor Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cícero Berger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th match minute, Abade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anísio Araújo to maneuver through the defense. Oswaldo das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anísio Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Tadeu Mendes hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Oséas Porto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cícero Berger. Abade's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Tapera booed when Abade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cauan Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tapera's Honorato Nardo got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Tapera's Oswaldo das Neves got control of the ball when Sydney de Lara tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anísio Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Oswaldo das Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sydney de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Abade's Pedro Paulo Chaves got a free kick in the 34th minute. After having played for 35 minutes, Dedê Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tapera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dedê Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vítor Luz in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cícero Berger saved Abade from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Vítor Luz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cícero Berger was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. In the 39th match minute, Tapera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. Vítor Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Honorato Nardo made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Dé Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oswaldo das Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney de Lara in the 56th minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Tapera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zachary Krzynowek to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Paulo Chaves was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 71 minutes into the game, Dedê Figueiredo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tapera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Abade the free kick. A collision led to Tapera getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Dedê Figueiredo hit a great ball. Oswaldo das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 85th match minute, Abade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tião Varela to maneuver through the defense. Cícero Berger was a little too slow when Vítor Luz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-4. Honorato Nardos short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Cícero Berger to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Abade's Cícero Berger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Abade from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Tapera's Honorato Nardo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cícero Berger. That made the score 0-5 after 96 minutes of play. The Tapera players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
