The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Oscar Aguiar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luisão Batista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, Bambuhy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the match, vamoQvamo FC's goalkeeper Luisão Batista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oscar Aguiar. Carlos Eduardo Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Guimarães in the 17th minute of play. When Oscar Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Bambuhy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Aguiar couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute of the match, Oscar Aguiar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luisão Batista saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 30 minutes into the match, Oscar Aguiar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luisão Batista. vamoQvamo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oscar Aguiar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 38 played minutes Bambuhy got a freekick which was hit by Vassilis Gountelitsas. Luisão Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murillo Ferreira in the 40th minute of play. Bambuhy's attentive Erasmo Ovando managed to snatch the ball when Luiz Guilherme Dionísio made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind vamoQvamo FC's goalkeeper Luisão Batista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bambuhy's Carlos Eduardo Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duda Linares in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Duda Linares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, one of vamoQvamo FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Luisão Batista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58thth minute of the game Oscar Aguiar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but vamoQvamo FC's Luisão Batista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luisão Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Aguiar in the 62nd minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Oscar Aguiar notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of vamoQvamo FC's Luisão Batista. Luisão Batista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luisão Batista stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oscar Aguiar's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. A sloppy throw-in by Vassilis Gountelitsas in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by vamoQvamo FC's Giovani Castro. Luisão Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Oscar Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisão Batista having to interfere. Luiz Guilherme Dionísio made in the 94th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Olavo Travassos immediately put the ball in play. The supporters of vamoQvamo FC booed when Bambuhy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Ovando didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute of the match Ruy Custódio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Eduardo Veloso skillfully saved the ball. Bambuhy's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
